Problem definition

The introduction of new technologies in transportation must be carefully evaluated not only from a technical perspective, but also in terms of user acceptance, safety and legal requirements. Insufficient evaluation could lead to a lack of acceptance or even to safety-critical problems.

Solution approach

The project carries out comprehensive evaluations to test the developed technologies in terms of their user-friendliness, ergonomics, efficiency, and safety. This is done through tests in simulated and real traffic scenarios, focusing on user behavior and the impact on traffic safety. In addition, legal framework conditions are taken into account to ensure that the technologies comply with the applicable regulations. The evaluation results flow directly into the optimization of the systems.

Aim

The goal is to provide a well-founded evaluation of the developed technologies that confirms their practicality and safety. The findings should help to increase the acceptance of automated systems among the general public and at the same time ensure their safe and efficient integration into road traffic.
