Together for
intelligent mobility –
adaptive systems for all road users.
SALSA Project
Innovation in Mobility
SALSA aims to increase the safety and acceptance of automated vehicles in complex mixed traffic. Through anticipatory action and clear communication, the systems should meet the needs and expectations of users better both inside and outside the vehicle.
The project focuses on adapting vehicle design, driving behavior, and interaction models in order to maximize the benefits of automated driving. To this end, new technologies and concepts are being used which are aimed at both conventional and specific user groups.
Goals
Safer, faster, and more comfortable
Entwicklung smarter, adaptiver Systeme, die durch klare Kommunikation und vorausschauendes Handeln den komplexen Mischverkehr mit automatisierten und konventionellen Verkehrsteilnehmern sicherer machen.
High acceptance
SALSA aims to increase the acceptance of automated driving functions both among users in the vehicle and among other road users in mixed traffic.
Holistic approach
SALSA analyzes potential conflict situations in mixed traffic and develops holistic strategies to improve safety and user acceptance.
